I have had Code Complete 2nd Edition and didn’t get much further than page 50 of about 860+ pages. So, I decided to start a book club to help me complete what I once put off.
Last week only half of us met and it was all through Zoom ( and you know how messy that can be).
This week we discussed Pages 1-90. Our main takeaway seemed to be that managing complexity is the number one technical problem to solve as a Software Developer. McConnell states that most of the pages in this book address how to deal with that.
I’ve slept since our meeting and can’t remember most of the other talking points but I do have a very cool but secret project for those of you who have read the book. I will keep you posted on it.
